Born London 1946 only son of the war artist William Ware and painter Eileen Aldridge.
Studied at Camberwell, Croydon and The Royal College of Art where he was awarded a drawing prize and a travelling award to Spain. Worked for 3 months at the atelier Lacourière, Paris.
Has exhibited regularly from 1972 to 1990 in England, Holland, Norway, Sweden, Canada, Germany, Australia and New Zealand.
Married Brenda Godsell, artist, in 1972.
Daughter Emma is yet another artist.
Has taught at various colleges from 1972 to 2002.
Director of the Hastings Etching Workshop since 1980.
Director of Focus Study Tours from 1990 to 1998.
Moved to France permanently in 2007 and started again working as a printmaker after a long and necessary break.
One and two man exhibitions - include Salford Museum, Oxford Gallery, Bohun Gallery, Manchester Royal Exchange, Bolton Gallery, Hastings Museum; Galleries Jas, Polder, Petit, de Beerenburght and Van Hulsen in Holland; Galerie Aablegaarden, Copenhagen; Graffiti Galleries in London, Norway and Sweden; Paperworks, Vancouver.
Collections include - The Victoria and Albert Museum, Bolton Museum, The South London Art Gallery, British Gas, The Towner Gallery, Hastings Museum, The British Council, Harvard University, West Australia Art Gallery, Leeds City Art Gallery, Ohio University, J Walter Thompson Collection, Rymans Collection, Helen Sheene Ltd, N K R Kopenhamn, The Newcombe Library Chicago.Commissions - for Bovis and Texas eastern Oil and various illustration work including the jacket designs for 'The White Hotel' and other books by D M Thomas. Publications - Illustrated 'The Fairy Tales of Charles Perrault' in collaboration with Angela Carter, and 'Goblin Market' by Christina Rossetti for Gollancz. Illustrated 'Rimbaud' and 'Lord Thomas and Fair Eleanor' for the Worlds End Press.
